We also recognise such activities are often expensive because of the costs associated with travel, equipment or any other number of factors. Consequently, not every family can pay for the kind of activity which their children may like to take part in.
The primary way in which we do that is by offering financial assistance to charitable organisations who can, in turn, help young people in West Cornwall – generally those who live west of an imaginary line between St Austell and Newquay, including the Isles of Scilly.
The young people we help tend to be between the approximate ages of 10 and 21 and may be:
- Underprivileged
- Seriously financially constrained
- Socially disadvantaged
- Disabled
Other categories are also considered on a case-by-case basis at the Trustees’ discretion.
